We recently caught up with immensely talented WHIPPED CREAM in an awesome interview where she unveiled some amazing insights about her music journey.
Hello Caroline! Thank you for joining us on Peachy Magazine. For the people who are yet to be introduced to your music, kindly tell us something about yourself!
I am a music producer who currently resides on Vancouver Island, Canada. I produce and write all kinds of music.
Was there anything that you planned out to do before setting out in the music industry?
Yes, I was a professional figure skater before I started making music.
You are about to release your new single “I Won’t let You Fall (feat. Finn Askew)”. Congratulations on that! What was the inspiration behind the track?
Thank you! I found Finn on Instagram last year randomly through an explore page. When I heard his voice and saw him sing I was immediately drawn in to work with him. I followed him and oddly enough he reached out to work even before I did. We ended up getting in the studio a few short months after. This song is about holding on to something and trying to have trust when you have been hurt before.

What was the creative process like with the track and did you face any challenges during the making of the song?
It took a while to get the mix exactly how I wanted on this record. I went back and forth on it a lot with the engineer but now the record is my favorite mix and master on the entire upcoming project.
You have gained more than 470,000 active monthly listeners on your Spotify Channel. How does it feel to know that your music has such a global influence?
Numbers have gone up and down this last year due to the global pandemic, whether i have 5 listeners or 30M listeners, it all means the world to me that even one person is listening. I have put my whole life into my music. It means everything.
You have created some phenomenal tracks till now and have attracted millions of listeners. What is the biggest lesson that you took away in this journey?
Be happy in the present. As an artist it’s so so easy to be literally depressed over your numbers, your failures, where you’re at in this moment and always looking to the future — simply because you care so much and put so much emotion, life blood sweat and tears into your work. But i have found through my time it’s really important to be ok with right now and where you’re at and not beat the sh*t out of myself because I don’t have a huge global record out yet, no grammy nominations etc.
Sometimes when you’re doing something that has such huge purpose for the world, and that’s bigger than even yourself. The timing is a lot different than anyone else. Enjoy your journey because time moves a lot quicker than you even know. Once you win all your awards and achieve all your dreams you’re going to wish you took a moment to yourself prior and really stropped to smell the roses of life every once in a while instead of being so wrapped in what you need to do and stressing.
How was the experience like working for your debut EP “WHO IS WHIPPED CREAM”. What can the fans expect from this EP?
Fans can except anything and everything but this truly is the first story of who I am as an artist in full. Prior to writing this ep I felt like there were some question marks to who I am as an artist. I ask my listeners to listen to the EP in full from start to finish of the order its in — no distractions. Go for a drive.
What was the idea behind the name WHIPPED CREAM?
WHIPPED CREAM is a juxtaposition. It’s kind of this big commercial name that suits this tiny lil blond girl yet it’s completely about the art. From the production, writing, to the videos, there is depth to everything i do — to the way I dress, speak, and see things.

Thank you for taking out your time for this interview! Lastly, I would like to ask you if there is any message that you wish to convey to your fans from all around the world?
